What else is there to do at the ranch? Hiking and horseback riding are available near the ranch. South Dakota also has seasonal fishing, pheasant and turkey hunting, and excellent whitetail and mule deer hunting near Stonemeadow Ranch. Tours are also available! We are minutes away from Jewel Cave, Wind Cave Park, and Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse Memorial, Custer State Park and many other attractions.

Where is the nearest airport?
There is a small airport is located near Custer, South Dakota. We also have a regional airport is located in Rapid City, South Dakota that is served by major airlines, including Delta, United and Northwest Airlines.
What is your refund policy?
If for some reason you are unable to be available for your hunt on Stonemeadow Ranch, (family illness, etc.) we will credit your deposit towards a later hunt the same year or apply that amount to a hunt the following year.
The primary attraction at Way Back Inn is its solitude. Surrounded by the quite beauty and scenic views of National Forest, we are insulated from the outside world. . .a great place to get to know yourself again. However if you are interested venturing out, you’ll find the thousands of areas of National Forest ground a great place to bring you ATV or Horses or Mountain Bikes to explore the local trails. This area is Rich in History of the first settlers brought through this area into the Black Hills of SD. Trails South of the ranch on Pilger Mountain also have some Ancient Petroglyphs on sandstone cliff. We have corrals if you want to bring your horses. The National Forest Service has marked maps of this area as well. If you would like to explore the Black Hills attractions like Jewel Cave, Wind Cave Park, Mount Rushmore, Custer State Park and the Crazy Horse Memorial, Black Hills Wild Horse Sanctuary they are just minutes away.
